Enquiries are typically responded to within one business day. Document review and confirmation usually takes two to three business days, provided all required documents are submitted correctly. The full process from initial enquiry to confirmed registration can be completed within a week if documents are ready.

Generally, students enrol in one programme at a time. If you are interested in completing more than one qualification, speak with admissions about sequencing your programmes. Some advanced programmes require lower-grade qualifications to be completed first.

We run multiple intakes per year. If you miss one, contact us and we will register your interest for the next available intake. We recommend applying early as intake places are limited.

A criminal record does not automatically disqualify you, but PSIRA registration — which is required to work in the security industry — has its own criteria. We recommend disclosing your situation to admissions so we can advise you honestly before you invest in training.

If you have no prior security experience, start with the Grade E to A programme. This gives you the foundation qualification and PSIRA registration you need to work in the industry and enrol in advanced programmes. If you are already a registered officer, contact us and we will recommend the right programme for your current grade and career goals.

PSIRA security grades run from E (entry level) to A (highest operational grade). Grade E officers are entry-level with basic site deployment capabilities. Each higher grade adds responsibilities, legal authorities and deployment options. Grade A officers can supervise sites and manage security operations. Our programme covers all grades progressively.

• Certified copy of your South African ID

For the Grade E programme, no — PSIRA registration is facilitated as part of the process for new entrants. For all other programmes, active PSIRA registration is required. The minimum grade required varies by programme — check the requirements page for specifics.

A minimum of Grade 10 (or NQF Level 2 equivalent) is required for all programmes. Candidates must also be able to read, write and communicate adequately in English, as instruction and assessment materials are in English.

The minimum age for all programmes is 18 years at the time of enrolment. The Close Protection programme requires a minimum age of 21. Age is verified via your South African ID document.

Payment plan options may be available for qualifying students. Raise this during your application enquiry and we will advise on what is possible for your specific circumstances and programme.

Programme fees cover tuition, all training materials and assessment. Your qualification certificate is also included on successful completion. Any additional items required will be confirmed before you register.

The refund policy is provided with your registration documents. The registration deposit is generally non-refundable once your place is confirmed. Partial refunds for early withdrawal depend on timing and circumstances. Contact admissions to discuss your specific situation.

Students who do not pass a module assessment on first attempt may be offered a supplementary opportunity. This depends on the programme and is not automatic — confirm the supplementary policy for your course with your instructor at the start of training.

Both. Every programme includes written assessments covering theory, law and procedure, as well as practical assessments where you demonstrate real skills. Both components must be passed to achieve the qualification.

Certificates are issued within a defined period following your final assessment. Processing timelines are confirmed at the time of completion. If you have a job offer that requires your certificate urgently, raise this with admissions so we can assist where possible.

Pass marks are communicated at the start of each programme and may vary slightly by module. Your instructor will confirm the standards required for each assessment before it is conducted.
